She grew up in Nassau after being adopted by her aunt and uncle. As a senior in high school she always wanted to follow in her dad’s and brother’s footsteps of becoming a police officers, having finished Government High school in 1987 and failing in her first attempt at the police examination, she decided to venture into the next thing that she thought was close to being a Police Officer, she became a Security Officer.
She started out as a guard then made her way up to being a dispatch operator, having doing this for many years she decided to try out surveillance which was very informative and it kept her in contact with the Police.
Because of love for policing, in 2005 she became a volunteer with the Pinewood Urban Renewal Program, where she was exposed to all aspects of law enforcement, the officer in charge encouraged her to join the Police Reserve in 2007. After having served in different areas of the Police Force the experience gained from attending numerous courses prompted her to accept a position in the security department at the Atlantis Hotel where she was assigned to the investigation department. After spending 6 years there was transferred to the K9 section.
Her love for security work led her out of Nassau where she worked on islands such as Bimini, Freeport, and Long Island. Upon returning home she was employed in other job aspects but in the end her love for security won. At present she is employed at Priority Security Services ltd as a Property Manager.
